Our goal at Love For Paws Rescue is to bring families together.
Sadly, not all of our rescues go on to find a family and home of their own.
Whether due to age, manageable medical illness or disabilities, some of our rescues must find a permanent sanctuary with us.
Please help by adopting or sponsoring a special needs kid.
Another senior girl, this is Ratatouille.
Unlike the cuttie in the movie, she doesn't cook, but she loves to eat and loves to cuddle and be held. Ratatouille suffers from chronic eye infections which require medications and daily care

She is good with other dogs, cats and older children but would prefer to be the only pet in the family. Ratatouille is about 5-7 yrs old, weighs 5lbs, fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed.

We are sad to say that Pogo lost the fight for her life today.
Sweet girl, we know that where you are now, your eyes are clear as a puppy's, you can hear the birds singing and you can run through the feilds with no more pain.
We will miss you deeply

Here is yet another face among the thousands of this cities abandoned animals.
Elvis is only about 2yrs old yet he is already heart worm positive, was emaciated when he was found, has a severe skin infection from the fleas and ticks that covered his frail body and due to likely physical abuse, Elvis is very withdrawn and timid. Yet, he is still a sweet, loving, boy who only wants to please. Elvis walks well on a leash and enjoys afternoon walks. Elvis will be neutered, treated for heartworms and fully vaccinated prior to adoption. Please help sponsor  this special needs pet
Found as a stray walking down a country road, feet sore and blistered from the rocks and hot asphalt, body emaciated and covered in mange, Willard finally found his way into the caring hands of Love For Paws Rescue.

With the thousands of strays that litter our city, why are we making a plea to the public to help him? Is it that he survived being born unwanted and turned over to Animal Control as a baby to be disposed of? Is it that he survived being taken from animal control, only to be neglected and abandoned again? Is it that he survived being afflicted by a deadly disease like distemper and lived?  Or Is it that Willard, after such a hard life, is now afflicted with a  liver disease and is fighting to survive the hardest fight for his life and he is less than two years old?   We were able to raise the funds Willard needed to diagnose his liver condition however, Willard will need additional care and in order stop further damage to his liver, Willard desperately needs a corrective dental to repair the damage done to his teeth by the distemper disease.  We are not only looking for help to pay for his treatment and dental, we are also looking to the public for a caring heart who would open their home to this very deserving boy, Willard's life could have had a tragic ending yet he has taught us abot new beginings.
Despite his neglected past, Willard is very sweet and has a very affectionate personality stealing heart with everyone he meets. .

After a long and sometimes hopeful fight to save Jr. Burger, we were simply  not able to reverse the toll his illness had taken on his body. We are thankful for the time we shared with him and are grateful we were able to give him the peace he so desperately needed.
Good night sweet prince.
